Fall is in the Hair!
I'm sure you're tired of hearing it, but yes It's finally Fall! While you'rebusy updating your wardrobe you might as well take time to update your hair! This Fall I wanted to do something different, step outside my comfort zone and make a true statement. So, one day while I was at work, not working, I decided that I wanted to get my hair colored burgundy!
I hit up a friend of mine Symone , who is a hairstylist for Paul Mitchell, and told her my vision. She came that night to my sisters house and got to work. The color didn't take at first because my hair was coated with eco styler, and I forgot to mention that before she started. So, after a second application the custom color we decided on came to life.
I will say that I was in shock for the first week. Every time I looked at a mirror I was like "OMG, Krystal you really colored your hair red!" It was definitely an adjustment but well worth it!
Here are some tips that I learned from Symone about how to keep my color vibrant and healthy:
- Water is the best food for your hair to promote hair growth!
- Use conditioner often and less shampoo to keep your hair hydrated
- Product moderation is key. Excess products only lead to build up, not better curls.
- Get your ends trimmed regularly.
I am currently a fan of all Aussie hair products, more specifically the moisture line. Not only does it keep my hair moisturized but it makes my curls pop like never before. I am also an avid user of Eden Body Works co-wash and Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. You can find all of these products below at your local Wal-mart or Target.
