Who doesn’t love brunch on a pretty Sunday? Uh.. only someone who has been under a rock for the last 10 years. Brunch has definitely become “the spot” for all young professionals in the 21st century. It is a place to let loose, enjoy good company, and of course indulge in bottomless mimosas.

On Sunday, after church, my line sister and I decided to venture off in the streets of downtown Charlotte and find a nice brunch spot. The weather was amazing, so we knew we wanted a place with a nice patio view. After scoping yelp and asking around to a few friends we came across The Asbury. This quaint brunch spot is located on the corner of N. Tryon and 6th Street in the Dunhill Hotel.  We shared a pitcher ($28), which got us both 4 glasses, of the Classic Mimosa mixed with mango and orange juice. And we were LIT! For my entrée I got The Standard ($10), which consisted of 2 eggs any style, Benton’s bacon, and a biscuit (which was recommended by our waiter).  It was yummy!!!

The only downfall was that the sap from the trees overhead kept dripping on us. Therefore, I’d suggest sitting inside during the spring or petition for them to cut the trees down so you can enjoy the breeze outside sap-free! I give The Ashbury a 7.  The food was great! The overall ambiance was okay but it could’ve been better with some nice tunes. This place is worth a visit if you’re in the Charlotte area and you’re looking for a good brunch spot with a great mimosa.
