I finally got the chance to to visit a bloggers pink heaven, Pierto Nolita, located in SoHo! I've been plotting to take a visit for some time now, so I was uber excited when I got the chance to go. When I walked up to the place, it was smaller than I imagined but still pink as ever! I decided to go in and have a look around, since I was waiting on the photographer, and grab some small to eat (preferably under $10). As I walked down the steps to get inside, I was welcomed with pink lights, small cute tables and the aroma of good food in the air. I opted to sit at the bar since it was only me. I decided to eat the homemade granola, which was somewhat bland. Next time I come back, I will definitely get something else. Overall the vibe at this place is super cute for a date, or day with your girls!
Now, the real reason as to why you're here, the look! I had to come to the pink place, decked out in my best pink. Well, honestly, my only pink. LOL. Despite being apart of the pretty girl gang, I rarely wear pink. I've had this little number for quite some time, but never put it to use because I just didn't have the right place to wear it and after I got home, I truly wasn't even sold on the piece. I didn't know if I wanted to wear it as a dress or a shirt or even as a cover up. This time, I decided to wear it solo, as a dress. However, next go round I'm definitely leaning towards making it a shirt or a cover up. I decided to pair this look with a all pink accessories that I got for THE LOW and I threw on my fav summer slides for the finishing touches!
This look can be worn to a cute brunch date or any morning time chill type of event.
STYLE TIP: Stripes are an illusion. When worn vertically, they help to give off a taller, more slender look. Stay away from small horizontal stripes as that can give off the reversed effect!
