It's the holiday time. So you know what that means, there are tons of Christmas parties to attend, whether it be at the office or with family and friends. While everyone is on the "ugly Christmas sweater" wave for the moment, there will be the occasional "Just come cute" invitations. Those actually happen to be my favorite, not because I'm a grinch but because I don't like going to parties were I'm forced to buy something specific to wear. And when it comes to ugly sweaters, those items can only be worn around Christmas time. So, it's not very useful.

The statement piece for this look could either be the faux fur jacket or the jazzy printed pants. I believe both items add a little spice to the look. I borrowed the jacket from a friend (Don't act like you haven't borrowed a friends clothes before). I loved the shaggy look and haven't been able to find one similar. I felt like it was the perfect addition to the look. Not only is it fashionable but it's actually super warm. So I decided to pair the jacket with a simple black turtleneck. I didn't want to do anything more dramatic being that I already had 2 statement pieces. The pants I got a long time ago from Forever 21, back when I was into everything printed. I really love the print and the fact that they actually stop right above my ankle. So, I'm not forced to cuff them like most of my pants. When it came to the accessories, I decided to jazz it up a bit and do all patent leather touches. I thinks it's a great balance of classy meets trendy with a splash of funk.

This look is definitely good for the office. It's conservative and not too loud. It's also a good ensemble to wear to a Christmas play at church or dinner with the family.
